This three to four hour walk explores the lower half of the Athabasca Glacier and offers superb views of glacial features, ice carved landscapes and other alpine glaciers. The tour provides plenty of time to absorb the beauty and complexity of the snowfield, but not requiring a full day commitment. Take short stops along the trail and learn more about active glaciation and the features that you are seeing. There are constant views of the Canadian Rockies, along with glacially carved out landscapes like moraines, mill wells, and crevasses.
